The 8.4 inch touchscreen is available in most Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram vehicles. In this video, we'll cover how to use the touchscreen.
The Touchscreen shows a full radio interface, with AM, FM, and Satellite XFM options. New vehicles equipped with the MyFord Touch system come with a one-year free subscription to Sirus XM satellite radio!
You can tune the radio via direct tuning on the touchscreen or with voice command. Simple hit the voice recognition button on your steering wheel and speak clearly "Tune to..." with your radio station of choice.
You can connect numerous types of media to your touchscreen, including USB, Auxiliary, SD card, Bluetooth, and even CD (available in certain models.)
Touch the BlueTooth icon to start pairing your device. Open up the BlueTooth function on your cellular phone or other mobile device, selecting yes or ok to scan for other devices on BlueTooth, then touch Connect on the touchscreen media centre when it shows. Once the two PINs match on your device and the touchscreen, touch Accept and there you go! You can use voice command now to call your contact in your phone handsfree through your touchscreen.
By touching Controls on your touchscreen, you can then control your heated and ventilated seats, your mirror dimmer, your heated steering wheel, even the passenger's seat!
Touch the Climate icon to begin. On this screen you have a touchscreen representation of a classic dual climate zone control, with zones and temperature controls easily accessible by the driver and passenger.
Touch the Navigation icon to begin. Moving left to right, first we have the Where To function. The "Where To screen has numerous functions, such as searching by address, recently found, your favorite locations folder, local points of interest such as restaurants, and the very helpful Go Home, which routes you to your home address once saved in the system.
You can also View Map, which shows a dynamic map of your location to help you navigate.
Under Information, there is the "Where Am I? feature and the Trip Computer.
Last but not least we have Emergency, which routes you to the closest emergency service from your location, including hospitals, police stations, and fire departments.
